Many of our classes are rooted in the vinyasa (or flow) style of yoga, meaning the poses are linked together with the breath. It's a very fun and creative approach to yoga. The Level 1 and 2 classes can be quite vigorous and you may break a sweat! If you are attending these two classes you should be familiar with sun salutations. Please read below for additional details about the classes and make note of which classes are most suitable for beginners. Yoga Basics– Welcome to the world of yoga, where breathing is the only requirement. People all shapes, sizes, age and gender can do yoga. In this class you'll build the basic foundation for your yoga practice. You'll learn the basics in a safe, nurturing, and thorough way. You will also receive individualized attention as you gain flexibility, strength, and balance. Suitable for beginners.
Beyond Yoga Basics- is an advanced beginners yoga class geared toward students who have challenges to flexibility due to such causes as genetics, sports, aging, and long hours at a desk. With the generous use of props and pose modifications, we will flow through sun salutations, standing poses, seated postures, twists, backbends, and inversions with a focus on expanding and releasing the larger muscle groups. Suitable for beginners.
Level 1– Level 1 is designed for those familiar with sun salutations and the principles of alignment of basic poses learn in Yoga Basics. We will use the poses you learned in Yoga Basics and weave them into a creative yoga sequence, linking the movement with the breath. We explore basic yoga poses and their variations in a more challenging yet comfortable way. Not suitable for beginners.
Level 2– Level 2 is designed for the student who is ready to advance their knowledge, increase their strength, and deepen their practice. Energetic and challenging, in these classes we explore more challenging poses at a more vigorous pace. Not suitable for beginners.
